Celebrate the late Murray Rothbard's 99th birthday.
Murray would have been 99 years old on March 2. The great Austrian School economist, historian, and libertarian philosopher's impact has been spreading globally three decades after his death.
I first met Murray Rothbard in his Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute office in April 1974, and invited him to be an “outside” member of my dissertation committee. He accepted immediately to help guide my study of the economic-geographic effects of inflation. I am proud to say I am one of only two graduate students in America who was awarded a Ph.D. under Professor Rothbard. I will ever be grateful for his friendship and support on my intellectual journey.
A few weeks later I received an invitation to attend a conference devoted to the Austrian School of Economics. Out of that conference a collection of essays was published, The Foundation of the Modern Austrian Economics.
Rothbard’s output of books, monographs, and essays is breathtaking. I have read all of his major works and most of his essays as well.
Join the Mises Institute in celebrating Murray’s legacy with a copy of Economic Depressions: Their Cause and Cure, originally published in 1969, and Nations by Consent, originally published in 1994. Everyone who donates $26 or more will receive these Rothbard classics. The first 26 donors will also receive a cool Rothbard lapel pin!
Order a free copy of Rothbard’s money and banking classic monograph. Or, you can read it online here.
