Trump channels Kamala; small businesses surge; Republicans love the welfare state; higher education bubble bursting.
The big government chickens are coming home to roost.
MAKE AMERICANS FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
John Gordon and I discuss Trump’s tariffs on his podcast.
The WSJ editorial reveals Trump is taking a page out of Kamala Harris’ economic playbook. Shame on the president. Trump thinks he is Chairman of the Board of America, Inc., and that the country’s CEOs answer to him. In a free society, the president, no matter which party he is affiliated with, has no constitutional authority to threaten or coerce business executives to violate their fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders.
Despite taxes, regulations, and the Fed’s destabilizing policies, small businesses can thrive if they have a niche in the marketplace. In other words, entrepreneurs still have enough freedom to meet consumers’ needs. The economy would flourish more if the government would get out of the way. For decades, beginning in 1985 when I began teaching finance at Ramapo College, I would remind students if they come up with a good business idea, they would become wealthy. And if they come up with a great idea, they could become a billionaire.
Republicans have been talking a good game of being fiscal conservatives for decades, yet when in power they govern like Democrats. In short, the Washington Party—defenders of the welfare state-is alive and well in DC.
The higher education bubble, fueled by massive government grants and student loans, is bursting. Government intervention causes distortions in every sector that it the recipient of moneys expropriated from taxpayers. The political elites have been fleecing taxpayers for decades to subsidize favored groups and buy votes. Time to end this “corruption.”

Well, after the murder of millions of chickens for no reason, we need more of them. But not from the government. I am not happy with King Trump nor the retardicans. They are useless.
Nor do I like that a proviso was hidden in the silly great big bill of atrocities Trump keeps crowing about that maintains that the states cannot interfere with the build out of A/i by the DC Swamp for the next 10 years. Meaning that they can turn A/i into whatever monster they like and the individual states are powerless to stop it. Not sure if this is constitutional.
