Trump could end the Israel-Iran war with two phone calls. Will he be the peacemaker? Or will he order a US attack on Iran?
America First, Mr. President, means liberty, limited government, free enterprise, and peaceful relations with other nations.
The meaning of America First, and here as well.
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists. Ernest Hemingway
The government and its chiefs do not have the powers of a mythical Santa Claus. They cannot spend except by taking out of the pockets of some people for the benefit of others. Ludwig von Mises
MAKE AMERICANS FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
New York Business Now posted an article about MAFI.
In today’s WSJ, David Albright identified as “an American physicist and nuclear-weapons tracker [and] is among the world’s foremost experts on Iran’s nuclear programs.”
Some of Albright’s statements should be vetted carefully regarding the assertion that Iran is on its way to building nuclear weapons. Iran could “make enough weapon-grade uranium for 11 nuclear weapons within a month (emphasis added).
The article continues with another of his statements. Albright’s “worst case assessment” is that Iran could “still break out and produce enough weapon grade uranium at Fordow”—which is located in a deep mountain facility south of Tehran and would be the target of both Israel and the US, if Trump decides to get directly involved in the war.
The lengthy article based on an interview with Albright contains several assertions implying that Iran’s nuclear enrichment program’s goal is the creation of nuclear weapons, thus making it an existential threat to Israel.
However, as former CIA analyst Larry Johnson noted, Iran does not have nuclear weapons while Israel has anywhere between 80-200 nuclear bombs, which it never has acknowledged and never has allowed inspections of its nuclear program.
If President Trump calls the Iranian leadership and Israel prime minister Netanyahu and demands the Middle East be a nuclear free zone and allow international inspectors to monitor both country’s nuclear program for peaceful purposes the war should end immediately.
Would Israel agree to such a proposal? Probably not. But at least the world see that Israel first introduced weapons of mass destruction into the Middle East, and if any of its neighbors decide to build nuclear weapons it is because the Israeli leadership has destabilized the region.
Iran has stated repeatedly that it is not building a nuclear arsenal. The only way for Israel and the US to know for sure is to allow for widespread inspections.
The fate of the Middle East—and possibly that of world peace—is in Trump’s court. If he wants a Noble Peace prize, he should make two phone calls immediately and end the carnage in Iran and Israel.

Governments love wars. Fight on and hopefully they figure out what the heck for. America first is ridiculous...it should be humanity first.
