Trump's hypocrisy about international trade
If the president believes what he asserts about doing business in America, then....
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists. Ernest Hemingway
…Trump should sell his foreign businesses overseas and invest only in American. His foreign properties are “taking” jobs away from Americans. Outrageous!
The Wall Street Journal “outs” Trump’s overseas business dealings while he calls for American companies to relocate to America. This is another example of “political chutzpah.” Do what I say not what I do!!!!
In other words, the Trump presidency is the most pro business administration for the Trump organization and his political allies!!! This is the dilemma of having a businessman president.
The only international trade policy that is consistent with the Declaration of Independence is laissez faire—-LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. Instead, Trump believes he can “manage” global trade for the benefit of some businesses and workers—the essence of cronyism, the art of crony deals.
Will Trump’s legacy be the crony president or the pro free enterprise president?
Trump and his pro interventionist cabinet members are taking a page out of the Hoover administration’s pro tariff polices and FDR an LBJ’s welfare state policies.
The welfare state is virtually untouchable in the “big, beautiful bill.” However, there is a solution, a constitutional federal budget. In other words,
MAKE AMERICANS FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
