Will Biden cancel the 2022 elections?

His Independence Hall speech hints at the possibility

Before you dismiss the idea that Biden would issue an executive order cancelling the 2020 midterm elections, let’s review what has happened in America since 1960 when I became interested in politics.

I watched JFK’s inaugural address in January 1961 and was upset that he asserted the US would defend freedom around the world.   That meant one thing—endless military intervention overseas.  In 1962 the US and the Soviet Union went to the brink of war over the Cuban missile crisis.  JFK changed his mind about the Cold War and stated his goal for world peace in his American University commencement address in June 1963. A few months later JFK was assassinated.  (A Deep State operation?) And in 1965 LBJ launched the Vietnam War and the Great Society—cementing the welfare-warfare state on America. 

In 1971 President Nixon imposed wage price controls and severed the last link between gold and the dollar. A year later the Watergate break-in eventually led to President Nixon’s resignation in August 1974, nearly a year after his Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned.  And the first oil crisis with its endless lines occurred just as Agnew was resigning.  Double digit inflation reared its ugly head for the first time since the Korean War. 

After Nixon resigned, his vice president, Gerald Ford succeeded him and chose New York governor Nelson Rockefeller to be vice president.  So, 1974 we had an unelected president and vice president, Gerald Ford and Nelson Rockefeller, respectively.  And in 1975 a failed assassination attempt on President Ford’s life prevented Rockefeller from becoming president, his lifelong ambition.  America was spared a Rockefeller presidency.

In 1979 the second oil crisis hit, inflation accelerated to double-digit levels again, all of which helped elect Ronald Reagan president in 1980 who campaigned on a simple message, “get government off our backs.”  In March 1981 Reagan was nearly assassinated and since then his anti-government rhetoric was toned down considerably.  Did the Deep State send a message to Reagan?

The election of Vice President George WH Bush to the presidency in 1988 and his call for a New World order revealed that the internationalists were in charge of the federal government.  After Iraq invaded Kuwait Bush put together a coalition to oust Saddam Hussein from the tiny oil rich nation. The US now had a sizable military presence in the Middle East and two years later a failed attempt to bring down one of the World Trade Center towers increased US interventions in the region.

As the 1990s unfolded and the Internet became common place as a telephone, the dotcom bubble burst in 2000, sending the NASDAQ down by about 80%. And how can we forget the utter failure of the George W. Bush administration to prevent the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.   The war on terror gave us the Patriot Act and the revving up of the national security state to spy on Americans in the most egregious attack on our civil liberties. The Deep State was now fully in charge of the federal government.

The invasion of Afghanistan to get the masterminds behind the terrorist attacks led to the longest (undeclared) war in American history.  The Biden administration finally withdrew American troops on August 31, 2021, but not before leaving tens of billions of dollars of military equipment in the hands of the Taliban.  You cannot make this up.

In 2003, the Bush/Cheney administration lied us into another war in the Middle East, this time invading Iraq to oust Saddam Hussein.  He had “weapons of mass destruction.”  Ha!

The housing bubble was well underway in the country when the Iraq invasion occurred, bursting in 2008 causing the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression. 

The so-called everything bubble began when the Federal Reserve stepped on the monetary accelerator and flooded the economy with hundreds of billions of dollars to revive the stock market, the housing sector and boost employment and production.  And with the election of Barack Obama in 2008 it was only a matter of time before the federal government would expand markedly. That occurred with the passage of Obamacare in 2010.

The election of Donald Trump was seen as a threat to the Deep State and from day one day undermining his presidency was the top priority of the Democrats and their allies in intelligence community including the FBI and the media. 

Trump dodged a bullet when the House of Representative’s articles of impeachment did not convince the Senate to convict him of high crimes and misdemeanors. 

COVID-19 was a godsend to the authoritarians in Washington DC.  The lockdowns, the mask mandates, the economy’s implosion and eventually vaccine requirements turned America into a feudal society.  Obey or lose your job, the ability to travel, go to college, etc., etc., etc.  We became subjects instead of free and independent human beings.

The Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars to bail out virtually every sector of the economy while the federal government ran mind boggling deficits to shovel money to the unemployed and closed businesses. 

The 2020 presidential election during the pandemic allowed Democratic candidate Joe Biden who clearly was cognitively impaired to campaign out of his Delaware basement.  In a hotly contested race allegations of voter irregularities were made by Trump and his allies.  It is hard to believe Joe Biden inspired more Americans to vote for him than Barack Obama.  And we now know the FBI deep-sixed the Hunter Biden laptop before the election. 

Then came the January 6th “insurrection,” and a second Trump impeachment.  It went nowhere in the Senate, again. 

Since Biden was elected executive orders have been dispensed like candy.

Biden’s speech last night was an attempt to make the case that “MAGA” Republicans are a threat to our democracy.  When there is threat, you remove it. Bush/Cheney asserted Saddam Hussein was a threat to America and thus had to be removed. 

The events of the past six decades reveal anything is possible in the world of politics.

It is thus not out of the realm of possibilities that as the days and weeks leading up to the November election Biden and his authoritarian minions make the case that the upcoming election must be postponed, suspended, etc., because America cannot be ruled by MAGA Republicans, especially if there are acts of violence in DC or other cities by a new cohort of “insurrections.”
