I do not participate in giving Tuesday. During the last 2 months of the year, I spend enough money during the holidays. I give to specialized organizations whenever I have a few extra bucks...usually during the other 10 months of the year, except at summer vacation time.
Eliminating the welfare state is probably a great idea. According to the 1960's Mouse Utopia study done by scientist John Calhoun, it was his "welfare state" that led to the extinction of his mouse utopia. The mice were given everything for survival and eventually died out. They lost the will to pro-create and survive without any challenges to overcome. A very interesting study.
